A referral was made to North West Community Services regarding a gentleman who has a mild intellectual disability.  He was living in a verbally, mentally and financially abusive Domestic Violence relationship for many years.

He needed support to understand his rights, find alternative affordable accommodation, deal with his mental health concerns and manage a range of finance concerns.

With the support of our partners we were able to locate emergency supported temporary accommodation.  Over time we secured permanent accommodation which provided a safe and affordable place to call home.  
NWCS was able to support the client to get access to NDIS to address his mental and physical health and financial support services.
