HOME VISITS

Several research studies have shown a strong correlation between social interaction and health and well-being among older adults and have suggested that social isolation has significant adverse effects for seniors.

Loneliness has a physical as well as an emotional impact.  It is a unique risk factor for symptoms of depression in middle-aged and older adults.

Our home visiting program enhances quality of life thorugh conversation and helps seniors feel connected to their community.  An important part of quality of life is all about emotional connections, human interaction and having a reason to live.

We have volunteers that visit our elderly community in their home, these volunteers are mindfully selected and partnered with clients to enable positive social engagement.
